Powder Ombre, also known as Ombre Powder Brows, is a semi-permanent eyebrow shading technique that creates a soft, powdery look similar to makeup.
Unlike traditional microblading, which uses hair-like strokes to mimic the appearance of brow hairs, Powder Ombre uses a shading technique that fills in the brows with tiny dots of pigment. The result is a gradient effect, where the brows are lighter at the beginning (near the nose) and gradually become darker towards the tails — creating a beautiful soft and natural look.
-
Look: Powder Ombre gives a natural makeup-like, filled-in appearance. Microblading offers a hair-like stroke effect.
Longevity: Powder Ombre lasts 2-3 years; Microblading only lasts 1-2 years.
Suitability: Powder Ombre suits all skin types, especially oily skin. Microblading is ideal for normal to dry skin.
Healing: Powder Ombre heals faster with less scabbing; Microblading may have more noticeable scabbing and can lead to scar tissue.

Pain tolerance varies from person to person however Powder Ombre typically involves minimal discomfort. Clients who pluck or wax their Eyebrows will find the procedure painless.
A topical numbing cream is also used to ensure clients are comfortable throughout the session.

Yes!
Before we begin the actual procedure, we spend about 30-minutes mapping out your Eyebrows and building a mock-up of how they would look. During the mapping stage, we use many factors to build out your eyebrows including overall facial features, face structure, symmetry, etc. Upon approval by the client, we begin the actual application.

In most cases, Yes!
If you have previous work done to your Eyebrows, the service would be considered a Correction. In most cases, if the previous work is faded enough — Powder Ombre would be applicable.
I do require clients with previous work to send over photos of their Eyebrows to confirm that they are a good candidate for Powder Ombre.
-
The initial Powder Ombre session takes about 2 - 2.5 hours. Touch-Up sessions take roughly 1 - 1.5 hours.
-
Powder Ombre is a two-step procedure.
After the initial session, there is a 6-8 Week Touch-Up required which is considered the “Perfecting Session.” During this session, we evaluate the healed results and address any of the areas of the Brows that may have healed lighter than others. This session will also lock the colour in to ensure longevity. We can also make small adjustments at this time and go darker or thicker if the client desires.
-
Each client retains the pigment in their Eyebrows differently. On average, I recommend my clients come in for a yearly Touch-Up to ensure the colour of your Eyebrows stay fresh and vibrant.
